Mt Eden doorknocking on 27 May

With four months until the election, join us for an afternoon of door-knocking in Mt Eden: chatting with locals to find out what issues are important to them and see if they are potential Green voters.

Door knocking is the best way to get the Green message out to people.

It’s also a great way to:

  • meet other people in your neighbourhood who are interested in Green issues
  • build up a team, and
  • work together to help change the government in 2017!

If you’re new to door knocking, we start with a meet-up and a brief training session, so you feel well-prepared. (It’s also fine to work in pairs, especially if you’re just starting out.)

After door-knocking for about two hours we'll meet up for a debrief and a cup of coffee, and talk about what we want to do next.

This will be a friendly and fun event. You don't need to be an expert when you're talking to people: you can simply share what you like about the Greens.

See you on Sunday!

Hamilton West Door Knocking

This week we will be door knocking in Hamilton West, and will hold training at  Holly's place, our door knocking co-ordinator.

Door knocking is about having beautiful conversations with potential Greenies about what they care about, where they're at, what they value and helping them understand what the Greens can offer. You can share what you care about, what you like about the Greens or your own values, and you don't have to be an expert on anything.

How it works?

We will meet at 43 Slim St at 1pm for a bit of training and prep so you feel confident and informed- we'll talk door knocking basics and have a quick run down on our core campaign policies + how to connect on the doorstep.

New door knockers will be buddy'd up with experienced door knockers. You'll be given an area with specific addresses of people to have a yarn with, and some sheets to record a bit of info afterwards.

...and to celebrate + debrief in style, we can go to a pub or have a few drinks afterwards TBC on day.

Our aim is that this will be a weekly occurrence alternating between Hamilton East and Hamilton West, so if you can't make it this week there is always next week. See you there!
