Green MP Gareth Hughes has been kind enough to host Greens at Vic for a busy day at parliament!
We'll be meeting the Green Party caucus in Bowen House for a Q&A at 1pm before heading over to parliament at 2pm to watch question time. Afterwards we'll be joining the 3pm parliament tour!
Some of us will be meeting on the lawn outside the Beehive at about 12:30 before walking across the road to Bowen House. Please be early to ensure we have enough time to get through the security checks.
Everyone is welcome to come along!
Kia ora. This is our first meet and greet for volunteers in the Manurewa electorate. We warmly invite anyone who is wanting to come and support Teanau Tuiono and the Green Party to attend this meeting. You will hear what our vision is for this upcoming election and how you can contribute to spreading Green values and policies. Ngā mihi nui
Want to change the government this election? This is where it all starts! Whoever you are, whatever your background is, come along to this Auckland Province GreenStorm event.
You'll get an overview of the Auckland campaign strategy, then we'll work together to put that strategy into action. You'll find out about the different ways you can help to Green the government this election.
There'll be food, drinks and fantastic company.
Whether you've never volunteered before, or you live and dream volunteering, we would love to have you here.
We're having a stall at Takapuna Sunday Market on the 28th May. Come join some of our local candidates and supporters.
It'll be a great way to talk to potential Green voters about what they care about and value, and what issues are important to them. We'll have a few 'ice-breaker' ways to help with that initial engagement.
You don't have to be an expert on our policies! You can share what you care about, what you like about the Greens or your own values. We'll have some summary resources (leaflets, etc.) so that people can find out more detail later.
Please RSVP if you're interested, even if you can only come along for an hour or so during the morning (any time from 7am to midday). We'll have some experienced folk there to help answer any questions you may have.
Your support in our volunteer-led campaign is crucial to the Green Party being strong enough in Government to address climate change and lift kids out of poverty.
Together, we can Green the Government in 2017!
Don't feel alone- we are all in the same boat!! When using the tools seems hard it can be tempting to think we can't do it- NOT TRUE. When everyone else seems to be doing what we have not learned to do it can be tempting to think we are too far behind to catch up ABSOLUTELY FALSE.
A day for anyone thinking about or holding a Campaign or Branch role. This day will focus on using the tools you need to gather data, fill in forms, plan the campaign and associated activities and keep branch level communications open. Complete newbies who have not even volunteered yet, the old hands are longing to meet you. We are all learning together and our contributions are equally valuable.
The timetable for the whole day is not finalised (we need your help to identify your needs), and we will try to make a schedule that means you will not need to spend the entire day in the office, but if you do it will be worth it! We will have a shared lunch (please bring something to contribute) snacks and chat time and focused training that is primarily hands-on (bring your device or book a green room computer). Make connections, identify support networks, help others and get some handy help so you use the tools with confidence.
RSVP with an email address or phone number and we will be in touch.
This year, we’re running a political campaign with a difference, and a whole lot of heart.
We have an incredible opportunity this election to form the heart of a progressive government. Together we will make a difference. Together we can get a Green government elected and do what National have failed to - tackle climate change, the state of our rivers, and lift the well-being of families. Every. Green. Vote. Counts. Together we can do it. We’d like to invite you to join us in making this happen.
Volunteers are the Green Party’s secret advantage. Because our people, people like you, care a whole lot. We don't use corporate donors to bankroll our campaign, people power is our strength and together we will win.
